All Lincoln, all the Time
Even if you are not a dedicated Lincoln historian (a DLH), you have probably
already noticed that the 16th president’s name is popping up more and more
frequently. That’s because the bicentennial of Lincoln’s birth is coming up
-- and here is where those dedicated historians can raise a hand and point
out to the whole class that Lincoln was born in 1809, NOT 1808. Give the DLH
a cigar – or perhaps a stovepipe hat.
Lincoln was indeed born on February 12, 1809, but his significance in American
history looms so large that this bicentennial observation is already underway,
and will unfold over two full years.
This is big news for tourism in Kentucky because Lincoln was born near
Hodgenville, and Central Kentucky is dotted with historical sites, monuments,
statues, sculptures, museums and markers dedicated to – or at least related to
– Abraham Lincoln.
This is big news for AD-SUCCESS, too, because of our involvement in travel &
tourism marketing. Several of our Kentucky clients are already running
Lincoln-focused ads & advertorials, and promoting Lincoln-related events. One
of the delightful advantages to working on these projects is that we at
AD-SUCCESS are learning whole new chapters in the history of America’s greatest
president. In fact, that DLH with his hand up just might be an AD-SUCCESS
copywriter.
How Some Really Really Really Small Things Can make a Difference
Your ad agency doesn’t have to know sterile technique, but it doesn’t hurt. And
if you are in the healthcare business, it can be a big help.
Healthcare marketing is a specialty as AD-SUCCESS, and over the years, we have
developed broadcast and print advertising, recruiting, fund-raising & patient
information videos, and myriad other marketing materials for hospitals,
universities, health insurance companies, and related businesses.
Naturally, this sort of work has taken us into a number of ORs, ERs, ICUs, and
other restricted access areas, but we have never yet contaminated a sterile
field. That we know our way around these environments is a great relief to our
clients, and another example of how seriously we take even the smallest of
details. In this case, make that microscopic details.
That “NO VACANCY” Sign is a Beautiful Thing

full restaurants, and booked attractions.

23-year history of success with clients all around the commonwealth, promoting
